  • rides for children (e.g., a carousel, a Ferris wheel, trains, and go-karts)
  • water rides
  • a water park (Hurricane Harbor)
  • music and comedy shows, and
  • a variety of food choices (e.g., pizza, spaghetti, hamburgers, and barbecue)

Where: Six Flags in St. Louis

Itinerary for Saturday, June 17

  • 8:30 a.m. – Get on the bus at the MU Student Center
  • ~10:30 – Arrive at Six Flags in St. Louis
  • 12:00 a.m.– Arrive back at MU Student Center early Sunday morning

Cost: Admission to Six Flags is $30 for MU students; $35 for MU Staff and Faculty; and $40 for the Public (a great bargain because tickets usually cost over $60!). To go on the trip, participants must be at least 12 years old and must ride the university bus.

  • Bring money for food, games, and shopping. (The average cost of a meal at Six Flags is about $10.00.)
  • Six Flags does NOT let people bring food or drinks (other than water) into the park. If you bring bottled water into the park, the seal cannot be broken.

Sign- up: If you want to go on this trip, sign up and pay at the MSA Box Office (located on the first level of the MU Student Center west of the Food Court). As of Monday morning (June 12), about 37 people had signed up for the trip, and only about 52 people can join. The MSA Box Office summer hours are Monday–Friday, 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

What to Wear: Because you will do a lot of walking and standing in line, you will need to wear comfortable shoes and clothes. If you go to the water park (Hurricane Harbor), you should bring a swimming suit and towel.
