Intensive English Program

Immigration and arrival

Enrollment in IEP meets U.S. immigration requirements for full-time study. The IEP acceptance packet will include an I-20 form (certificate of eligibility) for every student who needs to apply for a student visa. Detailed instructions regarding the visa application process will be provided with the I-20. This form must be presented at the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate in the applicant’s country to obtain a visa for entry into the United States.

Arrival

Most students arrive at the airport in St. Louis, Missouri, (STL) or Kansas City, Missouri, (MCI). Shuttle vans are available from both airports to travel to Columbia. The service is convenient and reasonably priced. The vans will take passengers to the MU campus, hotels or any other place in Columbia. There is also a regional airport in Columbia, Missouri, (COU) that is served by American Airlines and United Airlines. Taxi service is available.
